Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival – 1400 m

Once you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will see Mountain Delights’ representative waiting for you just outside the arrival deck. You will see either our company signboard or a placard with your name printed on it. You will be taken to the trip hotel where you check in and relax for some time. Later we will take you for a short tour of Thamel, the main tourist hub in Kathmandu, to show you some good restaurants, ATMs, money changer and other necessary places you might need to go. We go back to hotel after the tour and talk about the trip in details. If your arrival is late today, we will do this tour and trip briefing tomorrow before we start for the tour.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour - B

We will take you for a historical and heritage tour of Kathmandu valley today after breakfast. A full day sightseeing today in Kathmandu takes you to the amazing heritage sites of

Boudhanath is considered as the biggest Buddhist Stupa in the world which lies in the middle of a beautiful square. The giant Buddhist shrine is a very important pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhist people. The stupa is considered to have been built in 4th/5th centuries and carries some interesting stories behind its establishment. A stupa is basically a relic monument considered as a sacred shrine in Buddhism but there are several other types of stupas other than relic stupas. A stupa symbolizes the journey of a human being from material world to the world of enlightenment.

Pashupatinath is a Hindu Temple area where you can see a very unique cremation culture for the Hindu dead people. The temple which is considered as the most important Shiva temple in Nepal is open for Hindus only thus non-Hindu people have to stay outside the temple premises observing the Hindu death rites and rituals. We can encounter some Sadhus, the holy men, around who look so fascinating for photographs. The place is a rich spiritual and cultural source to have an insight on Nepali life and rituals.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Jagat 1100m

We start the day early today for a long and scenic drive to Jagat which is the starting point of our trek for this expedition. The drive goes through beautiful mountain highway casting overwhelming snowcapped mountain views on a clear day. The highway passes through several beautiful small towns and villages along the way. It’s a long day drive of about 10 hours with enough breaks on the way. The road to Besisahar is quite fine road with black topped surface whereas Besisahar onward is an off road drive to Jagat. It will be quite a different experience of driving in the mountains of Nepal. Stay overnight at Jagat.

Day 04: Jagat – Dharapani 1960m - 7 hrs

It’s the first day of the trek today. We are trekking to Dharapani for about 7 hours after breakfast at the tea house we stayed at Jagat. We walk past the village of Tal and cross a bridge to enter Manang district leaving Lamjung behind. We walk through the terraced fields and forested parts before reaching Dharapani. Dharapani is a beautiful and one of the big villages in the region. Stay overnight at Dharapani.

Day 05: Dharapani – Chame 2710m – 7 hrs

It’s a beautiful yet challenging day walk to Chame. It’s beautiful because of the overwhelming views of the mountains including Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II and Annapurna IV from the trail and challenging because the walk involves some steep ridge walking and landslide crossing. Nevertheless, about 7 hours of trekking journey is well spent before reaching Chame for the overnight.

Day 06: Chame – Pisang 3300m – 6 hrs

We start the day after breakfast and move ahead towards Pisang today. We walk through a densely forested area before finding ourselves in front of a rock face that rises above the river. We then enter a beautiful valley with magical view of mountains. Walking through this beautiful valley, we finally reach Pisang for the overnight stay.

Day 07: Pisang – Manang 3500m – 7 hrs

We take our breakfast at the tea house and start the trek for the day to Manang. Of the two different routes, we take the route via Upper Pisang and Geru. The route boasts incredible views of the mountain peaks. Towering peaks of Annapurna, Pisang and several other gigantic and beautiful peaks make us forget the challenge of the trek. We also visit a monastery called Barge monastery on the way. Stay overnight at Manang.

Day 08: Acclimatization Day

We will spend an extra day as part of acclimatization. We go for some hiking trip to Bhojo Gompa or Gangapurna Lake. The hiking excursion will be helpful to us to adjust with the high altitude climate and at the same time we can enjoy some charming views of the area. Stay overnight at Manang.

Day 09: Manang – Yak Kharka 4,010m - 5 hrs

We relish our breakfast with view and set off for the day’s trek. We are going to walk on proper walking trail only where the dirt motor road hasn’t reached. Our walk to Yak Kharka today goes via Ledar and on a gentle pace. The acclimatization day yesterday has filled us with energy in abundance to go higher into the elevation. Leaving the Marshyangdi valley behind we are advancing towards the famous Thorong La pass. Stay overnight at Yak Kharka.

Day 10: Yak Kharka – Thorong Phedi 4450m – 5 hrs

We walk to Thorong Phedi today after breakfast. It’s also an easy and shorter trekking day that takes us to the base of the Thorong pass. Thorong Phedi is a small settlement and overnight site for the trekkers in the Annapurna circuit. Many trekkers choose to take an extended trekking to Lake Tilicho while doing this Annapurna Ciruit Trek combined with Tilicho lake.

Day 11: Thorong Phedi – Thorong La 5416m – Jomsom 2715m – 7 hrs trek/ 2 hrs drive

We wake up very early in the morning and set off on the trek towards Thorong La. The walk to the pass is a slow and steady, paced walk which will test our endurance on the high altitude. The long, gradual looking, sandy trail leads us to the Thorong La pass at the elevation of 5416 meters above sea level. After crossing the pass, we trek down to Muktinath for the lunch. We can visit a beautiful and sacred temple at Muktinath. After the lunch, we drive to Jomsom for overnight stay.

Day 12: Jomsom – Pokhara 900 m

We take another incredible morning mountain flight to Pokhara enjoying the mountain range. Once we check into the hotel in Pokhara we will have leisurely time to find some soothing massage, chilled beer or relaxing stroll around lake side. The relaxing and leisurely time in Pokhara today should give us some good recovery from the tiredness of pedaling for many days in the high mountains.

Day 13: Pokhara Exploration

A full day in Pokhara will give us an opportunity to explore a bit of this beautiful city. We can go to Lake Fewa for a peaceful boating experience. Later we can go to visit Davis falls and Gupteswor cave. We will have some free time on our own. There are lots of adventure activities like paragliding, zip lining, bungee jumping, ultra-light flight etc. should we choose to go for some adventure thrill. Or we can simply relax around.

Day 14: Pokhara – Kathmandu 1400m

We drive back to Kathmandu on the same highway we took to go to Pokhara earlier. Another six hours on the highway will give us time to observe the villages and towns on the way from a different angle. After reaching Kathmandu and checking into hotel, we will have some free time to wander around the streets of Thamel.

Day 15: Love Kathmandu Tour (Hidden places in Kathmandu and Durbar square)

Walk with us around the local town in Kathmandu to experience the local life and culture. If you are looking for the theme-based walking tour in the center of the Kathmandu valley, the tour lets you a great opportunity to experience historical, cultural and spiritual affluence to unveil the social and historical mysteries. Bustling city, to view the artistic Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour bequeaths you an opportunity to capture the snaps of the centuries old monuments and historical crafts in the Kathmandu city. On this walking tour, we explore the Local market of Ason, glass beads market at Indrachowk, oldest supermarket at New Road, Kilagal, and Hidden Stupa etc.

After exploring these hidden charms of Kathmandu, we walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is famous for its unique historical, cultural and religious traditions.
