Itenerary

We will pick you up from the airport once you arrive in Paro and go through all the customs procedures. Then we will have a short preparation time before the trek starts. We start the trek for the day towards Jele Dzong where we will have overnight stay tonight. We pass through Jele La pass at the elevation of 3400 meters above sea level to reach Jele Dzong. Although the place we are camping tonight has Dzong in the name the Dzong is mostly turned into ruins. We will reach there after a walk of about 3 hours. Stay overnight at Campsite at Jele Dzong.
Trek for the day starts after breakfast and we walk to Jangchulakha today. After walking for about 4 hours on an uphill trail through a forested part, we will be welcomed by some breathtaking views of mountain peaks including Mt. Chomolhari which is 7314 meters above sea level. We can see some birds including pheasant on our forest walk this afternoon. We will have enjoyed so many different things before we reach Jangchulakha, our campsite for tonight at the elevation of 3780 meters above sea level. Overnight in Camp.
We are heading to a higher elevation on our walk today. The trek today takes us to Jimilang Tsho via Jangchu La pass at the elevation of 4180 meters above sea level. Once we reach our campsite which is near a lake, we can enjoy the view of Mt. Jichu Drake, the symbol of the protective god of Paro valley. The lake near our campsite has giant trout fish that is what it is famous for. Overnight in Camp.
We will trek to Simkota Tsho today. The walk goes on the trail that passes through rhododendron forest, actually, look like rhododendron bush because of the small size of the trees as the result of high elevation effect on their growth. The final section of the trek today that takes us to our campsite is a steep downhill walk. We will walk for about 4 hours before reaching Simkota Tsho at the elevation of 4040 meters above sea level. Overnight in Camp.
We will spend another 4 hours on the trail that takes us to Phajoding for the overnight stay. The trail goes via Phume La pass at the elevation of 4210 meters above sea level which will allow us to have a magnificent view of Mt. Gangkhar Puensum and other mountain peaks on a clear day. We will walk past a very important meditation monastery on our downhill walk towards our campsite. We stay on our campsite near Phajoding monastery at the elevation of 3870 meters above sea level. Overnight in Camp.
The trek today is of only 3 hours on downhill trail through blue pine forest mostly. Once the trek is finished, we will drive to Paro via Thimpu for an overnight stay. Overnight in Hotel.
We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight.
