Champa Devi Hiking

Trip Overview

Champa Devi Hiking is one of the famous hiking around Kathmandu Valley. This is third highest hill around Kathmandu valley, which is at the height of 2278 meter. Champa Devi day hiking is one of the best destination to see Kathmandu valley including Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts, Beautiful eye catching mountains and its ranges such as Mt. Everest, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, Langtang, Gaurishanker etc. A person who have very few time to spent in Nepal and he/she wants to see this whole Kathmandu valley or he would like to see panoramic view of many beautiful mountains or wants to go to remote area or he would like to go in high land, for those purpose Champa Devi can be the best destination.

During Champa Devi Hiking you also  can see Bagmati river, Bugmati, Khokana, Pharping which are historical places of Nepal. You can see Fulchoki hill on your right,  Chandra Giri which is highest hill around Kathmandu Valley on your left. We take some rest after we reach Champa Devi  and have packed foods, cookies, junk foods which you take with you from Kathmandu.

Itenerary

Bhangyang is the starting point of Champa Devi Hiking where you can reach by car/van or by bus. It takes about 45 minutes from Thamel to the starting point of Hiking by car/van, but if you want to go by local bus you can take bus from Old Buspark. After walking about half an hour there is a resort which is known as Hatiban resort. It takes about 3 hours walking to reach at the top of Chapa Devi Hiking where we can see open shrine of Chanpa Devi and  a Buddhist monastery. If you again wants to continue to climbing you can go upto Bhasmasur hill, it is another hill higher then Chapma Devi, other wise back to Kathmandu by another way.
