Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m).

Welcome to Nepal. Representative of Mountain Delights Treks and Expedition receives you at the Tribhuvan international airport, Kathmandu. Then you transfer to the hotel. After a short rest, we take you to the Thamel tour (about 30 minutes) to introduce you about the shopping centre, bank and ATM, restaurants and money changers. Then, we do  brief introduction about the upcoming itinerary is given. If you have a late flight, we do it on the following day.  Overnight at hotel.

Day 02:  Kathmandu Sightseeing.

Pashupatinath Temple: It is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Shiva, located beside the Bagmati River. The golden pagoda style temple is richly carved with silver doors. On the day of Shivaratri, a big fair is held around the month of February/March.

Boudhanath Stupa: One of the biggest Stupas in the world, is located on the east in Kathmandu. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four prime direction, keeping watch for virtuous behaviour and human success. King Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini had built this remarkable Stupa. The Stupa resembles the Mahayana philosophy.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2804m) and trek to Phakding (2710m). 30 min fly, 3 hrs trek.

From Kathmandu, we take an early morning flight to the Lukla airstrip for 30 minutes. It is astounding to get the marvellous views of Everest range mountain vistas. It is one of the most adventurous airports in the world. We take a short rest, introduce with the trekking crew and begin the trek. Heading through the downhill over the Dudh Koshi, we cross some potatoes and barley fields and reach to Phakding. Overnight at teahouse. 

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3441m). 5 hrs

Heading  Graduel and uphill, we can enjoy the views of waterfalls, cross the suspension bridge, take a gradual up and down trek and enter into the Sagamartha National Park after check in at the counter. The park has a significant role to preserve the biological diversity and the rare found flora and fauna. Crossing the bridge at the confluence of the glacial Rivers, we have to cross again a high bridge and clib uphill, we can see the Mt.Everest view than  Gradually ascending, we reach to the heart of the Khumbu region, Namche Bazaar, which is also known as the Sherpa capital. The striking views of Everest, Ama Dablam and Kongde RI offer the pleasing smile a little before reaching the Namche Bazaar. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. 

Day 05: Rest and Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar.

The memorable vantage of today is to get more information about this mysterious mountain market place. We set out for an acclimatizing hiking around the Namche Bazaar, to the top of Namche and visit the Sherpa Museum. Take out your lenses to arrest the breathtaking panoramas of the Ama Dablam, Tawoche, Everest, Kantega, Thamserku and the surrounding peaks and  we   hike up the Syangboche Airport (Old airport) around Everest View Hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks. if you are not too tired can visit biggest Sherpa village in Everest region the Khumjung village where the Hillary school sits and Khunde nearby and back to Namchebazzar Overnight at lodge..

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m). 5 hrs

This is another charming day in the Everest base camp trekking. The trail rambles around the eastern ridge as the views of the rhododendron forest appears near to the eyesight. We descend through the forest, cross the Dudh Koshi and gently ascend to the hilltop. We are walking to the Buddhist land. While walking we may catch an opportunity to see Himalayan Thar, pheasants and others on the ridge. We reach to the Tengbuche village, where the famous Tenbuche Monastery lies. It is also a pilgrimage destination of the Tibetan Buddhists. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. 

Day 07: Tengbuche to Dingboche (4350m).4.30  hrs

It is furthermore a gentle climb with the magnificent sceneries of Thamserku, Kantega, Lhotse and Everest. As we descend down to the Imja Khola, we cross the bridge and make an easy climb through the open trail and reach to Pangboche. The Pangboche Gompa of this village is regarded the oldest monastery in the Everest region, that goes back three centuries. Crossing the river again, we steadily trek up to the Dingboche village. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. 

Day 08: Accomolazation day ,Hike to Chhukung (4710m) and Back to Dingboche ,4 hrs .

As we are walking in the high altitude, we need to adapt with the weather to avoid altitude sickness. We start to hike to Chhukung at the high ridge. Chhukung valley via the Imja Khola(Island peak river) get a marvellous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse's massive south wall and island peak.

From there, we get the sights of Nuptse, and the cheeky panoramas. Then we return to our campsite at Dingbuche. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. 

Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m)4.30  hrs

We walk with a steep climbing in the beginning and then gentle pace in the gaining altitude. We leave the tree line behind and head along the barren rocky landscape. Lobuche peak strikingly smiles at us unfolding its tranquil charm. He head ahead to the ridge of Dugla and walk through the glacial moraine. On the side, we can see rock cairns in the memory of the climbers who have passed away during the trip. It is again tough to deal the glacial route with the sunset view above Nuptse and reach to Lobuche. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. 

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m) 3hrs

Today, it is a short walk, but the altitude gets higher and the walk becomes tough. We cross the rocky glaciers.The alpine zone of the Everest region, during the trek, we can enjoy the panoramas of Nuptse and Lobuche peak. Walking slowly in the high altitude crossing the glacier, we reach to Gorakshep. Overnight at teahouse/lodge.

Day 11: Gorakshep to Everest Base Camp (5365m), back to Gorakshep,5.30  hrs

Early in the morning, we begin our hike to the Everest base camp through the rocky moraine. It is a tough ascending through the glacial route. Though Everest base camp is not the best view point of the Everest, the glacial surroundings are seen stunning and also jickjack walk through the glacial route. Expedition teams set camps in the climbing season in the base camp. Then we climb down to Gorakshep and take a rest. Overnight at teahouse/lodge.  

Day 12: Hike up to Kalapatthar (5545m) early in the morning and trek down to Pheriche (4200m). 7 hrs

Early in the morning, we take a hike to Kalapatthar, dotted with the black rock. Massive Everest region peaks appear eventually during the trek, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse face, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Taboche, Cholatse, Lobuche East and Pumori. The golden sunrise over the white peaks really entices us that we capture in the camera. The Khumbu glacier is seen down in a winding form. Then we descend to Gorakshep and have a breakfast. Tracking down along the descent route, we reach to Thugla and cross the stream. We take a right trail avoiding the trail to Dingbuche. In Pheriche, there is a health centre. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. 

Day 13: Pheriche to Phortse(3800M)  3.30  hrs

As we begin the trek, the charming Everest splendid surrounds us. Kangtega and Thamserku lie just above us along with the Khumbi La and Kongde RI.Cross Imja Khola before heading towards the destination, Phortse, today.  Phortse is a typical Sherpa village in the Khumbu region and little less explored village as it lies off the regular main base camp trail. Almost 6 hours of trekking journey brings us incredible views and amazing cultural experience. Stay overnight at Phortse village.

Day 14: Phortse to Manju. 6  hrs

With a warm breakfast, we begin to trek along the views of the Himalayan goat and descend to Manju via  Namchebazzar  that we stayed before, so we select Manju as our rest camp. Overnight at teahouse/lodge.

Day 15: Trek to Lukla. 3.30 hrs

With a breakfast, we follow the same trail we took before with a steadily climb down through the forest towards the uphill of Dudhkoshi valley. We cross several suspension bridge and Sherpa settlements. Gradually moving ahead, we reach Lukla before the sunset and conclude our enlivening journey. It’s time for celebration and enjoy the successful trip. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. 

Day 16: Lukla to Kathmandu. 30 min fly.

Concluding the trek at Lukla, we fly back to Kathmandu. It offers the Everest Himalayas and its vicinity during the flight. Transfer to the hotel after arriving at the airport. The rest of the time you can use for rest and moving around the tourist hub. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 17: Love Kathmandu Tour (Hidden places in Kathmandu and Durbar square)

After breakfat Walk with us around the local town in Kathmandu to experience the local life and culture., the tour lets you a great opportunity to experience historical, cultural and spiritual affluence to unveil the social and historical mysteries. On this walking tour, we explore the Local market of Ason, glass beads market at Indrachowk, oldest supermarket at New Road, Kilagal, and Hidden Stupa etc.

After exploring these hidden charms of Kathmandu, we walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is famous for its unique historical, cultural and religious traditions. The most unique experience in the square is the visit to the temple of living goddess “Kumari”. Durbar square walking tour will be a perfect mixture of culture, history, art, architecture and traditional values prevalent in Kathmandu valley. After tour you have free and easy time, Overnight at Hotel.

Day 18:  Departure.

At the farewell day, representative drops you at the airport for your final departure. Thank you for your wonderful experience with us.

Medicines and First Aid Kits

(Our guide will carry the first aid kit bag during the trek.  We still recommend you to bring your personal first aid kit as you feel it necessary).

  1. Headache and fever medicine.
  2. Ibuprofen for general aches and pains.
  3. Burnt cream.
  4. Immodium or Pepto bismol capsules for upset stomach and diarrhea.
  5. Diamox (commonly prescribed as Acetazolamide). Please discuss with us before starting to take this medicine.
  6. Antibiotics.
  7. blister treatments such as mole skin, hand plasts band-aids, some waterproof tape, anti-infection ointments, etc.

Miscellaneous

  1. Passport and extra passport photos (2 copies).
  2. Durable wallet / pouch for travel documents, money and passport.
  3. Pocket knife.
  4. bandanas.
  5. Favourite snack foods and energy bars
  6. Paperback books, cards, mp3 player. Avoid players with moving hardware as it may not function. Remember, keep these items light weights
  7. Binoculars.
  8. Camera.

All garments should be kept dry using waterproof stuff sacks or large puncture resistant plastic bags.
