You will also be able to explore the natural beauty of both Nepalese and Tibetan sights.

It is a sacred site for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bons. It is believed that the snow- capped mountain peak is a home of Lord Shiva where he resides with his wife, Goddess Parvati. Every year, pilgrims from all around the world come to worship this holy mountain. There is a belief that circumambulating Mt. Kailash on foot will remove your sins and bring good fortune. The circumambulation/ Kora around Mt. Kailash can only be completed after taking a holy bath in Lake Manasarovar.

The sacred journey to Mount Kailash starts with a road trip from Kathmandu to Nepal- China border. After entering in the Tibetan territory, you will meet with Chinese guide, who will be there with you for the whole trek. You will explore the magnificent Tibetan countryside and towns before starting the circumambulation of Mt. Kailash. The sightseeing tour involves visiting two religious and cultural important sites of Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath stupa. Pashupatinath Temple: Dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva, Pashupatinath temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples in South-Asia. This place is a UNESCO world cultural heritage site. The Bagmati River flowing behind the temple is religiously and spiritually important for Hindus where cremation of dead body takes place. Pashupatinath temple holds the most of prominence during Shivaratri – Shiva’s birthday in which thousands of pilgrims gather to celebrate the auspicious day. Other occasional festivities and celebrations take place in the complex regularly. Boudhanath Stupa: It is one of the biggest Stupas in terms of size and height in Nepal dedicated to Buddhism. The site is peaceful and culturally filled with intermixed influence of Tibetan and Sherpa roots. Stupa built in the trading route between Kathmandu and Tibet has four pairs of eyes directed towards all four directions. The Stupa and philosophy around is influenced by Mahayana Buddhist philosophy. After short tour of city we return to hotel and prepare for the trek. Overnight will be spent at hotel.
We start our 4 hour drive to the Nepal Tibet border at Tatopani, which is east from Kathmandu. After arriving at the border, we will meet our guide and complete the custom processes. Then, we drive for about 2 hours into the Tibetan land to Nyalam. Overnight in hotel at Nyalam.
Today we spend our day at Nyalam in order to adapt to the high altitude climate. We will go on a short hiking expedition to help us acclimate before heading further into Tibetan territory. Overnight stay in hotel.
We will drive from Nyalam to Dongba after a delicious breakfast. The excellent, smooth motorway leads us past Lalung La, a steep mountain pass at 5050 meters. On our way to Dongba, we will be treated to some spectacular Himalayan views. Overnight in hotel.
The journey today will take us to the sacred Lake Mansarovar. After passing across the 5100 meter Mayum La Pass, we continue our drive to reach the days' destination where we will be greeted by a tranquil and majestic Lake Mansarovar. Today's 9 hour road trip will be worth it, when you first get to see the view of Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash. Overnight in hotel.
Today we have a whole day at Lake Mansarovar to acclimate and immerse ourselves further in the spiritual atmosphere of the location. We will take a holy bath to cleanse our minds, bodies, and souls. We will also hold a havan Puja and soak up the energy of the breathtakingly gorgeous and sacred lake. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Today we will begin the first day of circumnavigation of the holy Mt. Kailash. We first drive to Darchen from Mansarovar lake and then we will prepare for the walking parikrama across the sacred mountain. 7 hours of walk will lead us to Derapuk, where we will be spending the night. We make our way to Shersong through the plain. We continue on to a bridge that leads to the Chhuku Gompa that is visible from the valley. The trail then leads to Derapuk from where can view the north face of Mount Kailash. (If you feel difficulty in walking, there is an option for horse or yak ride). Overnight stay in hotel.
After an early morning breakfast, we will climb the Dolma La Pass (5650 m), the most difficult section of our journey. The pass is filled with five-colored praying flags. After crossing the pass, we carefully descend to Zuthulpuk on a narrow, slick track. Overnight stay in hotel.
Today is the third and final day of parikrama. We will walk back to Darchen to catch a vehicle that takes us back to Mansarovar. After 4 hours of walk we reach to Darchen where a vehicle will be waiting for us. After we reach there at Mansarovar, we will circumambulate the beautiful lake and there is a belief that Kora of Mount Kailash is completed only with a holy dip in the lake. Also, it is believed that one can be relieved from the sins of a hundred lives after taking a dip and drinking its holy water. Overnight in Mansarovar.
After an early morning breakfast, we drive back to Nyalam. Our whole day will be spent driving on the highway. During our driving period, we will only stop for lunch and other necessary breaks. Overnight in Nyalam.
