Manaslu Ciruit Trekking is a wonderful trekking experience in the isolated Manaslu region and Nubri Valley of the Himalayas. The trek goes along the Budhi Gandaki River Valley to enter the spectacular Nubri Valley in the Manaslu region. Manaslu Circuit Trekking is highly peaceful trekking experience given the less number of trekkers travelling to the region.

This trekking starts from the very low river valley and reaches to a high Himalayan pass of Larke La at the elevation of 5160 meters above the sea level. Several days of traversing the beautiful mountain trails walking past wonderful cultural villages gives a real experience of wonderful mixture of cultural and natural riches. The trekking throughout the Nubri valley adds spiritual charm on top of the natural and Himalayan wonders.

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival – 1400 m

Once you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will see Mountain Delights’ representative waiting for you just outside the arrival deck. You will see either our company signboard or a placard with your name printed on it. You will be taken to the trip hotel where you check in and relax for some time. Later we will take you for a short tour of Thamel, the main tourist hub in Kathmandu, to show you some good restaurants, ATMs, money changer and other necessary places you might need to go. After we brief about the trip. If your arrival is late today, we will do this tour and trip briefing tomorrow before we start for the tour.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour - B

We will take you for a historical and heritage tour of Kathmandu valley today after breakfast. sightseeing today in Kathmandu takes you to the amazing heritage sites.

Boudhanath: It is considered as the biggest Buddhist Stupa in the world which lies in the middle of a beautiful square. The giant Buddhist shrine is a very important pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhist people. The stupa is considered to have been built in 4th/5th centuries and carries some interesting stories behind its establishment. A stupa is basically a relic monument considered as a sacred shrine in Buddhism but there are several other types of stupas other than relic stupas. Astupa symbolizes the journey of a human being from material world to the world of enlightenment.

Pashupatinath: It is a Hindu Temple area where you can see a very unique cremation culture for the Hindu dead people. The temple which is considered as the most important Shiva temple in Nepal is open for Hindus only thus non-Hindu people have to stay outside the temple premises observing the Hindu death rites and rituals. We can encounter some Sadhus, the holy men, around who look so fascinating for photographs. The place is a rich spiritual and cultural source to have an insight on Nepali life and rituals.After tour you will have time some free and easy time.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Soti Khola 710m, 8 -9 hrs drive.

Early morning after breakfast, we start our day to Sotikhola, the gateway to Manaslu trekking. We drive on a highway that stretches on the central hills of Nepal and boasts spectacular views. About 8 hours long drive goes past several towns and villages where we can see a little bit of rural Nepalese life style. We drive alongside beautiful River Trishuli for some distance and drive across it to go towards Sotikhola via Arughat bazar. 

Day 04: Soti Khola – Machha Khola ,900m, 5.30  hrs walk.

Today is our first day of trekking into the Manaslu region. We prepare all our backpacks for the supporting crew and carry our day pack ourselves and set on the walking journey of the day. We start walking along the Budhi Gandaki River into a forested area before starting an uphill trek. The trail traverses through beautiful waterfalls, terraced rice fields and beautiful village of Labubesi, an ethnic Gurung settlement in the region. Before reaching Machha Khola, our destination for the day, we experience a good deal of our first day walking in the Nepalese mountains. Stay overnight at Machha Khola.

Day 05: Machha Khola – Jagat 1410m, 6.30 hrs

We set on the trekking journey early morning today and we are walking towards Jagat. About 7 hours of beautiful mountain trail walking, we reach our destination for the day. We walk past Kholabesi to go to Tatopani where we come across a natural hot spring. The trail walking today involves several crossings of suspension bridges and step walking up the hill. Budhi Gandaki River will accompany us on the journey. We cross the river to go on our way up and down the mountain before taking well tired us to the village of Jagat to stay overnight.

Day 06: Jagat – Philim 1590m, 3 hrs

The third day on our trekking adventure in the Manaslu region, we trek to Philim today for about 5 hours. Leaving Jagat behind we walk towards Salleri village. If we have a very good and clear weather, we can see a spectacular view of Sringi Himal from here. After crossing Salleri, the trail leads us steeply up the hill to descend down to peaceful Sirdibas village. We walk further from Sirdibas to cross a suspension bridge and go our final and steep ascent for the day to Philim to stay overnight. 

Day 07: Philim – Bihi  phedi 2130m, 6 hrs

We are setting on a 6 hours trekking to Bihi. We leave Philim behind early in the morning enjoying the view of Sringi Himal and head towards our destination today. The first section which is fairly flat leads us to Ekle Bhatti before we start heading downhill to the intersection where the trails to Tsum Valley trek and Manaslu Circuit trek split. We walk further towards the villages of Nyak and Deng before making one final climb to Bihi for our stopover for the day.

Day 08: Bihi Phedi  – Namrung 2670m, 6 hrs

We have a beautiful view of Kutang Himal before starting the trek for the day. We walk to Namrung village today after spending about 6 hours on the trail. We come across the area on the trail where we will see lots of Buddhist Mani walls, Chhortens and prayer flags. More Buddhist influence is visible now in the area. We walk past the village of Ghap and head towards Namrung village for our overnight stay today.

Day 09: Namrung – Lho 3180m, 4 hrs

On our short day walk of about 4 hours today, we are gaining the elevation over 3000 meters now when we reach Lho village. We leave Namrung early morning and head towards Lihi village where we can enjoy a beautiful view of mountain peaks of Sinmang Himal and Naike Peak. We walk further ahead towards Shyo on a steep uphill trail. We get even more spectacular views of the mountain peaks from here before starting ahead to Lho village for our overnight stay.

Day 10: Lho – Samagaun 3530m, 4 hrs

The first section of the walk takes us downhill before starting a long uphill walk to Shyala. We leave Lho village for a 5 hours walking journey in the beautiful mountains. We can enjoy the scenic beauty of isolated yet spectacular Nubri Valley in the Manaslu region. When we reach Samagaun for our overnight stay, we can enjoy wonderful and secluded mountain beauty of the region. Stay overnight at Samagaun.

Day 11: Acclimatization Day

We spend an extra day here at Samagaun. We go for some hiking to  Kharka (4400m) , you can enjoy birendra lake view and  , other many mountain view,  on the way , about 4 hrs hike both way,rest of the day you can enjoy  Surrounded by mountains in a peaceful forest, you take a breather to acclimatize and relax. exploration around Stay overnight at Samagaun.

Day 12: Samagaun – Samdo 3860m,  3 .30 hrs

After spending fascinating time in Samagaun, we are leaving the place behind to go to Samdo today. We start the trek for the day early in the morning. The trail today brings us some good mountain experience. We walk past Karmo Kharka which is a yak pasture and head towards Samdo. We might encounter several yak and donkey trains carrying goods on the way. When we reach Samdo after about 5 hours of walk, we can enjoy the view of Samdo peak and Pangboche Himal.Stay overnight at Samdo.

Day 13: Samdo – Dharamshala(Larke Phedi)  4460m,4 hrs

We trek to Dharamshala today which is also called Larke Phedi, the base to the famous Larke La pass. About 5 hours of walk today takes us past some barren yet beautiful terrain which boasts some incredible views of the snowcapped mountains. We can enjoy the view of the north face of Mt. Manaslu before reaching Dharamshala for the overnight stay.

Day 14: Dharamshala – Larke La Pass 5160m – Bimthang 3720m, 8 hrs

Today is the highlight of the trek as we are going to achieve the highest elevation of the trek while crossing the Larke La pass. We leave Dharamshala early in the morning in a winding trail up the hill with spectacular mountain views. When we reach Larke La pass which means the “Victory Hill”, we can view spectacular views of several mountain peaks like Himlung Himal, Gyaji Kang, Pang Phuchi, Annapurna II, Kang Guru, Namjung Himal and many other peaks.

After spending some wonderful time at the pass, we descend down the hill. The first downhill section is fairly easy but we after some 30 minutes or so we start a steep downhill trail where we need to be very careful on our descent. We walk carefully and sometimes stop to enjoy the view before reaching Bimthang for the overnight stay.

Day 15: Bimthang – Tiliche 2300m, 6 hrs

Our trek today takes us down to Tiliche. We leave Bimthang behind and start walking towards Tiliche keeping the view of Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal etc. at our background. Our descent takes us past Sangure Kharka and Dudh Khola to cross a suspension bridge and go ahead on a forested area. We walk past Gho village before reaching Tiliche village for the overnight stay.

Day 16: Tiliche – Jagat 1300m, 5.30 hrs

We start our trek early morning to Jagat. About 6 hours of trekking with the background of mountains and beautiful rural settings, we reach Jagat to stay overnight. We finish our trekking days here in Jagat today. We celebrate our successful adventure to the beautiful Manaslu region and enjoy the time.

Day 17: Jagat – Kathmandu, 8- 9 hrs

We drive back to Kathmandu today. About 9 hours long drive on the highway along the river bank and past several small towns and villages will take us to Kathmandu. After we reach Kathmandu and check into hotel, we will have free time to relax and wander around.

Day 18: Love Kathmandu Tour (Hidden places in Kathmandu and Durbar square)

Walk with us around the local town in Kathmandu to experience the local life and culture, the tour lets you a great opportunity to experience historical, cultural and spiritual affluence to unveil the social and historical mysteries. On this walking tour, we explore the Local market of Ason, glass beads market at Indrachowk, oldest supermarket at New Road, Kilagal, and Hidden Stupa etc.

After exploring these hidden charms of Kathmandu, we walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is famous for its unique historical, cultural and religious traditions. The most unique experience in the square is the visit to the temple of living goddess “Kumari”. Durbar square walking tour will be a perfect mixture of culture, history, art, architecture and traditional values prevalent in Kathmandu valley. After tour free and easy, overnight at hotel.

Day 19: Departure Day

We will drive you to airport for the departure flight three prior to your flight schedule.

  • Any bar bills (alcoholic drinks, mineral water, and cold drinks), cigarettes, client’s personal insurance, any kind of unforeseen expenses etc
  • Lunch and Dinner in Kathmandu.
  • Tips for Guide and Porter( Tips is not compulsory but expected)

What to bring

This list outlines the required things to bring during the trekking hours. There are various selections and brands that you can have your own choice. Those equipments can be bought and hire easily in a reasonable price in Kathmandu. 


  1. Down sleeping bag (you can borrow with us if required).
  2. Duffel or Rucksack bag (you can borrow with us if required).
  3. Daypack
  4. Down Jacket (you can borrow with us if required).
  5. Flish liner (you can borrow with us if required).
  6. Walking poles (Walking poles (optional, you can borrow with us if required).
  7. Water bottle with purification tablets.
  8. Hand wash liquids.
  9. Lip guard.
  10. Sun block cream.
  11. Toiletry kit. Be sure to include toilet paper stored in a plastic bag, hand wipes, and liquid hand sanitizer, towel, soap, etc.

  1. Cap and ears covering hat. 
  2. Sun glasses
  3. Head torch.
  4. Ear-muffs and neck warmer is another piece of gear for extra warmth (optional)

Medicines and First Aid Kits

(Our guide will carry the first aid kit bag during the trek.  We still recommend you to bring your personal first aid kit as you feel it necessary).

  1. Headache and fever medicine.
  2. Ibuprofen for general aches and pains.
  3. Burnt cream.
  4. Immodium or Pepto bismol capsules for upset stomach and diarrhea.
  5. Diamox (commonly prescribed as Acetazolamide). Please discuss with us before starting to take this medicine.
  6. Antibiotics.
  7. blister treatments such as mole skin, hand plasts band-aids, some waterproof tape, anti-infection ointments, etc.


  1. Passport and extra passport photos (2 copies).
  2. Durable wallet / pouch for travel documents, money and passport.
  3. Pocket knife.
  4. bandanas.
  5. Favorite snack foods and energy bars
  6. Paperback books, cards, mp3 player. Avoid players with moving hardware as it may not function. Remember, keep these items light weight
  7. Binoculars.
  8. Camera.

All garments should be kept dry using waterproof stuff sacks or large puncture resistant plastic bags.
