Mera Peak Direct Route

Trip Overview

Mera Peak, the highest trekking peak which is a perfect adventure for those who want to hike at a high altitude lies in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It is one of the popular mountain climbing destinations in Nepal’s Himalayas lying at an elevation of 6,470 meters above sea level. It is well situated at the Mahalangur range of Himalayas, the same range where the world’s highest peak Mount Everest is situated.

Climbing Mera Peak takes several days of trekking, while it provides the trekkers with an amazing opportunity to observe and enjoy the Himalayas’ magnificent allure. The trip is well worth the effort, despite the challenging physical effort required to trek through the trail and up the peak. The panoramic views of 8000 meter summits like Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Kanchenjunga, as well as several other mountain peaks, is very breathtaking despite the fatigue and difficulty of trek.

Since, the peak is classified as a trekking peak, it is accessible to all adventure enthusiasts, whether experienced, inexperienced, or first-timers. Those who choose to embark on this beautiful adventure must, without a doubt, prepare. Fitness training and acclimation at a high altitude are essential before beginning the journey.
