Last but not the least of the Bhutanese wonders and highlight for this trip is a wonderful day hike to the spectacular Taktsang Monastery, the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery clinging on a cliff over the city of Paro.

Itenerary

Arrive at Paro by Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines flight. Go through all visa and customs procedures and come out of the airport. You will see our representative holding a placard with your name printed on it. After you meet our representative, you will travel to Thimpu, the amazing capital city of Bhutan. After our arrival at the hotel in Thimpu, we will check into your hotel. Later we will go for a sightseeing tour of Thimpu in the afternoon. The sightseeing places for the afternoon include National Textile Museum where we will get deep insight into the colorful traditional textile weaving art with beautiful and intricately woven designs; Kuenselphodrang famously known as Buddha point to see the largest Buddha statue in Bhutan; Tashichhoe Dzong which is a mid-seventeenth century fortress; and Craft Bazar where we will see the Bhutanese culture and artistic craft works. Overnight in Hotel.

We will go for a half day sightseeing tour of Thimpu again after breakfast today. This half of the day will take us to the Centenary Farmer’s Market, Archery Stadium, Traditional Bhutanese Paper making factory etc. We will see and learn a great deal about so many amazing Bhutanese cultural and artistic wonders. Later in the afternoon, we drive to Paro and go for the sightseeing of attractions in the city. This half of the day will take us to amazing Paro Rinpung Dzong which is a 17th-century fortress, farmhouses to witness the Bhutanese farmers’ lifestyle. We will have some free time to walk around the market place in Paro. Overnight in Hotel.

We are going for an exciting day hike trip today starting after breakfast. The wonderful hiking trip to the breathtaking Paro Taktsang Monastery famously known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery is an uphill walk of more or less 2.5 hours depending upon the pace. Once we are on the top, we can see a beautiful Buddhist monastery clinging to a cliff and also a breathtaking view of Paro valley. All the tiredness of the climb seems to disappear as the thrill of the view takes over us. We hike back down to Cafeteria and stop for lunch. Later drive to back to Paro. On the way, we will make a short stop at Kyichu Temple, one of the 108 7th century temples built by Tibetan King Songsten Gampo. Overnight in Hotel.

We will drive you to the airport for your departure flight back home. We really hope this short trip meant something to you.
