Rolwaling trek combined with Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755 m/18881ft)is one of the most difficult trekking trails in Nepal. The Rolwaling valley is known as “the Grave” – simply because of its location buried down between steep ice-giants of Gaurishankar Mountain – is quiet to trek and equally adventurous. You will be rewarded with the enchanting views of majestic Mount Gauri Shanker (7,134 m/234065ft) named after Hindu god Shiva and his consort Gauri or Parvati. Other mountain peaks that you can enjoy are Mt. Melungtse (7,181 m/ 23,560 ft), Mt. Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m/22,854 ft), Mt. Tashi Lapcha and others. The views of beautiful waterfalls, Tsho Rolpa Lake – one of the biggest glacial lakes of Nepal at 4,580m/15026ft with 1.538 Square Kilometers, age old Buddhist monasteries, and unparallel landscapes enchant you. There was a wide belief that mysterious Yeti lived in this valley.
