Trip Overview

Jamacho Hike is a wonderful package. It lies very close to Kathmandu. Jamacho Gumba lies at the top of the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. It goes through the wilderness of the woods that is protected by the Nepalese army. From the top, you can enjoy the views of the Himalayan ranges, especially that of Langtang and Everest Himalaya, and of Kathmandu valley. The view of Kathmandu valley really entice you to keep watching.

You set off for the hiking in Nagarjun. From Thamel, you have to drive towards the north for 15 minutes. After getting the entry ticket at the gate, you can begin the hike. There are cemented steps developed for the hiking. It is a wonderfull peaceful walk only with the melodious chirping of the birds all throughout the hike. According to your walking pace, it takes about 3-4 hours to reach the top. The hiking goes through lush forest all the way. The monastery offers spiritual heightening. There is view tower that makes it easiesr to see the surroundings and the Himalayas at the distance. Hiking down is pretty much faster but your legs get tired.
