Starting off the journey from the Kathmandu Valley will give the visitors different insights about Nepali culture and tradition. Flying over the mighty peaks and the changing landscape forms gives you a new experience. You will get to look into Tibetan Buddhism closely in the roof of the world, Tibet.  A trip to Bhutan; the last Shangrila in South Asia will give you a different and new perception of the essence of life as they focus more on Gross National Happiness than Gross National Profit. You will experience the unique culture of Bhutan where their natural beauty and vibrant culture have been untouched and unspoiled.

Itenerary

Our Airport Representative will greet you at Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to your respective hotels. After check-in and some rest, you will be taken to the main tourist hub in the city for a short introductory tour. Your trip guide will briefly give information about your trip in the evening. After breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed on the Kathmandu sightseeing tour. Pashupatinath Temple: located by the riverbank of the Bagmati River, is a well-known Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the most important Hindu temples in the world and is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple is designed in a golden pagoda style that is richly carved with silver doors. A large fair is held during the day of Shivaratri, and people/devotees from all around the world come to worship Lord Shiva. Boudhanath Stupa: It is one of the largest stupas in the world which is located on the eastern side of Kathmandu valley. It stands with four pairs of eyes in each of the four directions, keeping an eye out for good deeds and human prosperity. This magnificent stupa was erected by King Man Deva on the instruction of the Goddess Mani Jogini. Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar Square is a cultural site that holds a lot of Nepalese history and is located in Lalitpur, a city in Nepal. This also comes under the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list of Nepal. It features many well-preserved old palaces, courtyards, and temples, like the Krishna Mandir, Mahabouddha Temple, and the Hiranya Varna Mahavihar (Golden Temple). After visiting all these places, we will head back to the respective hotels and whoever wants can go out to explore the nightlife at Thamel. Overnight at a hotel.
Today, right after your breakfast, you will drive to the second largest city in Nepal, Pokhara. On the route to Pokhara, you will stop by Kurintar and take a cable ride to Manakamana Temple (temple of wish-fulfilling goddess). After praying you will ride down back via cable car and continue your drive towards Pokhara. Driving via the Prithivi Highway along beautiful hills, small towns and villages, rivers, and jungles will take you to one of the top tourist destinations of Nepal. Upon arrival, you will check in at the hotel and take a rest. After some rest, we will go boating at Phewa Lake. One of the best activities here is the lake boating experience, where you can glide peacefully across the clean waters of Phewa Lake, looking at the awe-inspiring nature. At the heart of Phewa Lake lies the captivating Barahi Temple, perched on a small island accessible by boat. One of the most mesmerizing sights is the reflection of the majestic Fishtail Mountain (Machapuchare) mirrored in the tranquil waters of Phewa Lake. Later that day we will explore the energetic atmosphere of the lakeside, filled with cafes, restaurants, and shops, all set against the backdrop of Phewa Lake. Overnight at a hotel.
Early in the morning, you will drive for 30 minutes to reach Sarangkot, where you will observe a stunning sunrise. Sarangkot is a famous viewpoint for sunrise and sunset along with a panoramic view of Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna III (7,555m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m), and Machhapuchhre (6993m). After breakfast in your hotel, you will proceed to explore the International Mountain Museum. Here we will see all the mountaineering equipment, climbing history, and cultural insights. People who are looking deeper into the world of Himalayan exploration must go here. After that, we will visit a place called Pumdikot, it is a popular destination for trekkers and nature enthusiasts. More than that this place is famous because it has the second-largest statue of Lord Shiva in Nepal. You will also visit the top attractions of Pokhara such as Devis Fall, Gupteshowr Cave, and Shanti Stupa (World Peace Pagoda). Built by a Japanese monk in Japanese style, it is ranked as top 2 attractions of the city providing you with a panoramic view of Annapurna ranges, Fewa Lake, and Pokhara city. Boating in beautiful Fewa Lake will give you an amazing view of the hills, mountains, and Sarangkot. Later, in your leisure time, you can take a walk on the lakeside. Overnight at a hotel.
After breakfast, you will leave for Kathmandu on a scenic flight. Upon arrival, check in and relax. In the evening, you can stroll around the streets of Thamel. Overnight at a hotel.
Your tour to Lhasa starts with an amazing flight from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to Gongga International Airport in Lhasa; considered one of the most beautiful air routes in the world over the giant and astounding Mount Everest, Mount Kanchenjunga, and many others. If you are interested in traveling via Mainland China, plenty of flight options are available along with the world’s highest train route to Lhasa. Once you reach the airport/train station, you will be greeted by your guide for the Lhasa tour and you will be transferred to your respective hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to acclimatize yourself in Lhasa altitude and explore some local areas. Overnight at a hotel.
Today you will be visiting some of the top attractions in Lhasa city. You will first visit one of the famous monasteries in Lhasa, Sera Monastery which is popular for an amazing “Buddhism Debating” and is also called the Monastery of Wild Roses. Norbulingka Monastery will be your next destination. The monastery was a former summer palace of Dalai Lama with 374 rooms in the ancient period which is now turned into a public park called “Jeweled Park”. Giving continuation to your exploration, Jokhang Temple will be your last visiting place today. Jokhang Temple is one of the sacred shrines in Lhasa for Tibetan Buddhism which is also known as House of Buddha. You will also stroll around Barkor Street which encircles Jokhang temple and is famous for traditional Tibetan goods, religious items, and handicrafts. Overnight at a hotel.
Right after your breakfast, you will start your exploration activity from Potala Palace; the home to the successive Dalai Lama as well as an impressive masterpiece of architecture. The palace is known to have been in existence since the 4th/5th century, but the current form of the palace is said to have been founded in the 17th century. The next sightseeing spot is Drepung Monastery which was established in the 14th century. Since its establishment, the monastery has always been one of the most important Buddhist monasteries in Tibet with more than 10,000 monks living and studying in its glory days. Some of the well-known and important Tibetan leaders including Dalai Lama used to study here. The monastery is also called “Mother School of Dalai Lamas” and the panoramic vista of Lhasa can be observed from here. Overnight at a hotel.
Your tour to Lhasa finally ends here. After breakfast at the hotel in Lhasa for the last time, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight back to Kathmandu. On this day we will have another sightseeing day around Kathmandu valley. Walk with us around the local town in Kathmandu to experience the local life and culture. Swayambhu Nath Stupa is a religious and cultural site, perched atop a hill west of the Kathmandu Valley. This ancient complex is often referred to as the "Monkey Temple" due to the numerous monkeys that inhabit the area. There are numerous statues, and prayer wheels around the stupa, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Overnight at a hotel.
Your flight to Bhutan will be amazing as your plane flies over the Himalayan peaks including the sacred Chomolhari and Jichu Drake peaks in Bhutan. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After relaxing for a short period of time and lunch, you will begin your sightseeing in Paro by visiting the National Museum called Ta Dzong; once a traditional watchtower. Next, you will visit the oldest temple in the country, Kichu Lakhang. Overnight at a hotel.
Morning breakfast and you will hike for around 4-5 hours to the famous monastery of Bhutan Takstang Monastery which is also called Tiger’s Nest Monastery situated at the elevation of 3180 meters. The monastery hangs on the edge of a steep cliff which is 900 meters above the Paro Valley. It is believed that Guru Rinpoche (the second Buddha) flew on the back of a tigress and meditated for years where the monastery was built. A cafeteria restaurant situated halfway up the mountain is one of the highlights of the monastery. After lunch in the cafeteria, you will hike down to Paro and leave for the capital, Thimpu. Overnight at a hotel.
Early morning breakfast and you will visit the Memorial Chorten; built in the memory of the third Bhutanese King. Afterward, you will visit top tourist attractions in Thimpu such as the National Library which houses ancient manuscripts, the nunnery temple, and the School of Arts and Crafts. After lunch, you may visit the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, the Handicraft Emporium, the Textile Museum, and the traditional paper factory. In the evening, you may take a walk to the streets of the surrounding area and have a look at the lifestyle of the locals. Overnight at a hotel.
Today, you will drive to the radio tower and hike for an hour to the Wangditse Monastery which offers an amazing view of Tashichho Dzong and Samtenling Palace. You may encounter the national animal of Bhutan called Takin on the way to the monastery. After exploring the place, you will hike down to Thimpu and board a vehicle leaving for Paro. Upon arrival, check-in and explore the village in Paro and the lifestyle of the locals. Overnight at a hotel.
Morning breakfast and you will transfer to Paro International Airport. 1 hour of scenic flight over the Himalayan peaks, and different landscapes will take you to the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. This will be a free and easy day, and you can do whatever you want to do before going back to your country. Overnight at a hotel.
You will be transferred to the airport for your onward destination by a representative from our company 3 hours prior as per your flight schedule

Equipment Checklist

This list outlines the required things to bring during the trekking tours. There are various selections and brands that you can choose as per your interest. All required trekking equipment can be bought or even hired easily at a reasonable price in Kathmandu.

General

  • Down sleeping bag (you can borrow it with us if required).
  • Duffel or Rucksack bag (you can borrow it with us if required).
  • Daypack
  • Down Jacket (you can borrow it with us if required).
  • Fleece liner (you can borrow it with us if required).
  • Walking poles (Walking poles are optional but recommended, and you can borrow with us if required).

Medicines and First Aid Kits

(Our guide will carry a first aid kit bag during the trek.  We still recommend you bring your personal first aid kit as you feel it necessary).

  • Headache and fever medicine.
  • Ibuprofen for general aches and pains.
  • Burnt cream.
  • Imodium or Pepto Bismol capsules for upset stomach and diarrhea.
  • Diamox (commonly prescribed as Acetazolamide). Please discuss this with us before starting to take this medicine.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Blister treatments such as moleskin, hand plants, and aids, some waterproof tape, anti-infection ointments, etc.

Miscellaneous

  • Passport and extra passport photos (2 copies).
  • Durable wallet/pouch for travel documents, money, and passports.
  • Pocketknife.
  • Bandanas.
  • Favorite snack foods and energy bars
  • Paperback books, cards, mp3 player. Avoid players with moving hardware as it may not function. Remember, keep these items lightweight
