Jamacho Gumba Hike Overview

Jamacho Hike is a wonderful package. It lies very close to Kathmandu. Jamacho Gumba lies at the top of the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. It goes through the wilderness of the woods that is protected by the Nepalese army. From the top, you can enjoy the views of the Himalayan ranges, especially that of Langtang and Everest Himalaya, and of Kathmandu valley. The view of Kathmandu valley really entice you to keep watching.

You set off for the hiking in Nagarjun. From Thamel, you have to drive towards the north for 15 minutes. After getting the entry ticket at the gate, you can begin the hike. There are cemented steps developed for the hiking. It is a wonderfull peaceful walk only with the melodious chirping of the birds all throughout the hike. According to your walking pace, it takes about 3-4 hours to reach the top. The hiking goes through lush forest all the way. The monastery offers spiritual heightening. There is view tower that makes it easiesr to see the surroundings and the Himalayas at the distance. Hiking down is pretty much faster but your legs get tired.

Exceptional support and a pleasure to work with

Fantastic adventure and Well organized

Me and my husband had a fantastic trekking tour to Everest Base Camp (EBC) from Lukla and back with mountain delight trek. The guide Tilak was very helpfull and kind and full of positive energy and we enjoyed his trekking all the way. Also the porter was very helpfull and kind. We experienced the shepard culture and the shepards are so polite and they have a great hospitality. The Nature is so besutifull and the mountains are amazing. We Saw EBC on a sunny day and I could imagine the trekking to the summit of Everest.
It was an adventure I Will remember for the rest of my life. I will recommand this firm to do the trekkings in himalaya as you can trust this experienced firm 100 pct.

We used Mountain Delight Treks to trek Everest Base Camp

We used Mountain Delight Treks to arrange a 14 day tour to Mount Everest Base Camp and around. Mountain Delight Treks is a very professional company and they know their business to the smallest detail. As part of their business they lend out important gear as sleeping bags, very warm down jackets and more to make the trek as comfortable as possible. And it is all quality gear.
Furthermore, the company’s owner, Ram, is overseeing everything and following all treks on a daily basis. It is clear that Ram and Mountain Delight Treks are doing their outmost to give their clients the best possible experience.
It is also important to mention our guide Tilak. He really did his outmost to make the trek as great an experience as possible. He was up early, worked late and was constantly explaining what we saw and passed on our way. It was also his initiative to change the route back due to a heavy snowfall. We could not continue along the planed route. Instead he arranged visits to several small villages “off route”. This was in itself a very interesting part of the journey. We met so many kind local people and got some very unique experience.

Trekking in Langtang Valley

Would highly recommend Mountain Delights. We had an amazing time trekking in the Langtang Valley. Our guide, Dipak Nepal, did a fantastic job and made everything run smoothly throughout the trek. We didn’t have to worry about anything. Our two porters were also incredible. We would love to go trekking with Mountain Delights again in the future!

Poon Hill and ABC trek

I can really recommend Mountain Delights. We did a 9-day trek to Poon Hill and ABC and the whole experience was great.

Right from the start, Ram was super helpful in the office, giving us clear info and a lot of time to help figure out what trek suited us best. Our guide, Geli Sherpa, was a great guy, very professional but also shared so much about his culture and even joined in on our card games in the evening. Our porter, Peam Sherpa, did an amazing job and we were so glad to have him with us.

The best part was Geli’s expertise. He noticed the weather was shifting and suggested we reach base camp a day early. That easy change gave us "crazy good" weather and an amazing sunrise and sunset. Even when our flight to Pokhara was 3 hours late due to weather, they handled everything so smoothly that we never felt stressed.

The whole trip felt very personal and safe. I’m already looking forward to my next adventure with them!
