Trip Overview
Nepal is a country that is known as the birthplace of Buddha throughout the world. Some 2500 years back, Shakyamuni Buddha was born in Lumbini. This tour will take you to the same pilgrimage place Lumbini where you will be able to roam around the actual birthplace of the light of Asia and will witness the cardinal stone kept inside the temple. You will enter the sacred garden and will see the Stone Pillar erected by Indian Emperor Ashoka, the sacred pond Pushkarini where queen Maya Devi had taken a holy bath before giving birth to Buddha, the famous Maya Devi temple, and the ruins and remaining the meditational and residential monasteries. Through this tour, one will be able to feel peace in mind and one can also engage in deep meditation inside the sacred garden below the trees.
Itenerary
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu international airport, our representative will meet and welcome you to Nepal and then you will be transferred to the hotel. Once you finish the check-in procedure, you can rest and relax at the hotel. After short rest, we take you on a short Thamel tour which is the main tourist hub in Kathmandu to make you familiar with some good restaurants, ATMs, money changers, supermarkets, gear shops, and other necessary things you might need for your trip. After a short exploration, you will be taken to our office for a trip briefing meeting. Overnight in a hotel. If your arrival is late today, this tour and trip briefing will be shifted to tomorrow.After having breakfast we will proceed the sightseeing. Pashupatinath Temple: It is a most famous Hindu temple devoted to Lord Shiva, located beside the Bagmati River. One of the most significant temples for the Hindu devotees around the world and a UNESCO site. The golden pagoda-style temple is richly carved with silver doors. On the day of Shivaratri, a big fair is held around the month of February/March. Boudhanath stupa: One of the biggest Stupas in the world is located in the east of Kathmandu. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four prime directions, keeping watch for virtuous behavior and human success. King Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini had built this remarkable Stupa. The Stupa resembles the Mahayana philosophy. After back from the tour you have some time to rest and prepare your gear and so on. Overnight in a hotel.You will have your breakfast at the hotel. Now, you will commence driving to reach the birthplace of Lord Buddha; Lumbini. It will take you the whole day to reach Lumbini. You will reach Lumbini in the late afternoon and check in to the booked hotel and rest and relax in the hotel for the remaining time. Overnight in a hotel.You will have your breakfast in the hotel and then your full-day sightseeing tour of Lumbini starts. In the beginning, you will visit the sacred Lumbini garden, where Lord Buddha was born. In the sacred garden, you will visit the Sacred Pool Puskarini, the Mayadevi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar, and the remaining various meditational and residential monasteries dated back to 3rd century. After finishing sightseeing of the sacred garden along with the detailed history of the birth of Buddha and his mother Mayadevi, you will continue sightseeing to the monastic zone where you will find the Buddhist monasteries of different countries reflecting the Buddhism of their country. After visiting the monastic zone, you will now continue sightseeing to the World Peace Stupa. After visiting the stupa, you will return back to the hotel and today’s program ends here. Overnight in hotel.After having your breakfast in the hotel, you will check out from the hotel and then commence your journey to get back to Kathmandu. You will spend the whole day on the road. In the early evening, you will get back to Kathmandu and then check-in to the hotel. Overnight in Hotel. Note: You can either choose a flight to reach Lumbini and get back to Kathmandu as another option for transportation by paying an extra cost.Today we will walk around the local town in Kathmandu to experience the historical, cultural and spiritual affluence to unveil the social and historical mysteries to view the artistic Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour to capture the snaps of the centuries-old monuments and historical crafts in the Kathmandu city. We explore the Local market of Ason, glass beads market at Indrachowk, oldest supermarket at New Road, Kilagal, and Hidden Stupa, etc. Then we walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The most unique experience in the square is the visit to the temple of the living goddess “Kumari”. Durbar square walking tour will be a perfect mixture of culture, history, art, architecture and traditional values prevalent in Kathmandu valley. Overnight at Hotel.Today you will have the rest and easy day, Free time on your own. Overnight at Hotel.As per your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the international airport of Kathmandu 3 hours prior to the flight time and your tour ends here.What is Included?
