Overland Tour

Trip Overview

Overland Tour in Nepal is one of the ideal ways to learn about the country's culture, traditions, religion, and biodiversity. The overland tour offers an opportunity to explore the historical monuments, sacred temples, artistic pagodas, tranquil lakes, lush forests, and stunning mountain ranges. 

The ten days Nepal Overland Tour mainly covers the places of Kathmandu valley, Pokhara valley, and a few hill stations on the way to Kathmandu to Pokhara. A tour is incomplete without the sightseeing of historically important places of Kathmandu valley including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and many others. During the Overland Tour, we will also visit the ancient town of Gorkha, where Prithvi Narayan Shah (the founder of modern Nepal) was born. We will also visit Bandipur village, a peaceful and lovely hill town with a spectacular view of the central Nepal Himalayas and the Marshyangdi valley, on our route to Pokhara.

Itenerary

Once you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight in a hotel.
A full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley that includes sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight in a hotel.

Wyambhunath and Patan Durbar sightseeing, followed by a trip to Bandipur in the afternoon. Overnight in a hotel.

Sunrise view via a Himalayan range in the morning and a sightseeing tour of Bandipur village. Drive to Pokhara and enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Pokhara's lakeside, including a boat ride on Fewa Lake. Overnight in a hotel.
Drive to Sranagkot early in the morning for a sunrise view in the panoramic Himalayan ranges of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. Trek down to Pokhara, then drive to Gorkha. Go for a sightseeing tour in Gorkha town, and visit a 16th-century royal palace. The region is surrounded by the magnificent Manaslu, Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal. Overnight in a local lodge.
In the morning, hike up to Gorkha Durbar (16th century Royal Residence) and Gorkha Hindu Temple before driving to Daman. Daman, located at a height of 2100 meters above sea level, is one of the most popular hill stations for seeing Himalayan peaks: Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar, Cho Oyu, and many others. There is a view tower from where breathtaking views of the Himalayan range can be seen. Over-night in a hotel.
After a quick breakfast in the morning, drive to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a lovely hill station from which you can see the main Himalayan Ranges. It is also popular for sunrise and sunset views. Overnight in a hotel in Nagarkot.
Wake up early in the morning to view sunrise over panoramic Himalayan ranges. Return to the hotel for a breakfast, and then drive to Bhaktapur. Embark on a half-day sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Changunarayan, and other local attractions. After exploring the Bhaktapur area, drive to Kathmandu. Overnight in a hotel.
Spend the day shopping and relaxing in Kathmandu. Later, in the evening, our team will host a farewell dinner party in the hotel. Enjoy your last day in Nepal. Overnight in a hotel.
Today you will be departing to your home country. Our staff representative will transfer you to the International Airport of Kathmandu, 3 hours before your flight time.

Equipment Checklist

The list details the items that must be brought with you throughout the trekking hours. There are variety of options and brands to choose which can simply be purchased and rented in Kathmandu at a reasonable price.

All garments should be kept dry using waterproof stuff sacks or large puncture resistant plastic bags.
