We initially planned to book a shorter trek, but after speaking with Gokarna at the Kathmandu office, we took his recommendation for the 12-day Everest Base Camp trek—and it turned out to be a once in a lifetime adventure!

Our guide was Geli Sherpa was an absolute gem throughout the trek. Geli is incredibly knowledgeable about the region, the Sherpa community, and the mountains, and his expertise made us feel safe every step of the way. He also shared fascinating stories about Sherpa life and Buddhism, adding so much depth to the experience.

The weather was unusually rainy and snowy early in our trek. Geli, always prepared, suggested we get extra rain ponchos, and we were so glad we did!

We didn’t hire a porter, the higher altitudes made carrying our gear more difficult. Geli kindly offered to carry our sleeping bags during the toughest stretches,

When we reached Gorakshep, the area was covered in snow. Some trekkers were told by non-local guides that the base camp was closed due to the snow, and many never made it. Geli, however, knew the region so well that he safely guided us through the snow and even helped us navigate areas affected by a recent landslide. Many groups turned back, but thanks to Geli’s expertise, we reached base camp!

We can’t recommend Geli Sherpa and Mountain Delights enough. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime trekking experience, they are the team to choose!

We had a great trip to the Langtang valley! Everyone in the team was very caring and helpful. We were very well taken cared of. A journey to rememer for life!

Me and my friend went on a 12 day trip to Nepal, mainly for trekking but also for spending some time in Kathmandu.

Thanks in no small part to Mountain Delights’ excellent work we had a completely unforgetable time, both while trekking in the Langtang valley as well as in the capital.

The views we saw of the Himalayas were breathtaking to say the least. The beauty we experienced will stay in my memory for the rest of my life. Our lovely and professional trekking guides Shiva (main guide) and Binod (assistant guide) made sure that we felt safe at all times while trekking. The rest of the team were also very nice and professional.

The parts of our trip spent in Kathmandu were also made very interesting thanks to the professional and very knowledgeable city guide provided by Mountain Delights. It’s a fascinating city that I hope I will return to again one day to explore further.

Our guide Mingur were exceptionel and was an expert of hiking and climbing. He was the nicest guy ever and did such a great job making sure that we did not need anything at all. He possesed such great knowledge of the mountains and always had a story to tell. Also the assistent Dilip was such a great guy and always very helpful.
We were very satisfied with every detail of the adventure and will recommend Ram and Mountain delight every day of the week!

A great experience with Mountain Delights! We trekked to Everest base camp, and the guides Mingur and Mindu were just amazing. They helped us with everything, they took our food orders in time, they helped us with wifi if we needed help. On the trek they had a very good knowledge of all the surrounding mountains and gave us very useful information. They saw the whole group and asked how we felt and set the pace so it suited the group. (Slowly slowly) :-) And also Ram needs a big thumbs up as he was involved with the guides in arranging heli rescue two times in our group.
All in all everything worked out just perfect!! Thank you Mountain Delights!!!

We did the Manaslu circuit trek with Geli Sherpa as our guide and Karma Sherpa as our porter. We had an absolutely fantastic trip and felt so well taken care of all along. Geli gave us execellent advice on what to do and what not to do to avoid getting altitude sickness. Both Geli and Karma have been great company -we have had a lot of fun. We can highly recommend Geli, Karma and Mountain Delights.

I have done the Ghorepani / Poonhill trekking with Purna and I can say that it has been one the best experiences in my life. Thanks a lot to Purna and all the people of the agency.

The best trek ever!

We did the 8 day langtang trek, booking was very easy and our guide was great. Sharan was very knowledgable telling us everything we asked about all the mountains and wildlife, he would clearly explain what each day would be like each evening and made the trek very enjoyable. We got on very well with Sharan playing cards, making jokes and having a laugh each day. I would recommend him to anyone looking to do a trek in Nepal and will definitely use him again if I do another one. Thank you very much Sharan

My expectation was travelling a good standard hotel in a good location.This resort surpassed it by far - really great service. We were 6 person with a small children. they were really happy to see sunset sunrise and walk around the hotel grounds. The quality of food is really good and delicious. We have done almost half the night fire-camp and made a barbecue which will be an unforgettable moment of my life.
I hope the hotel is a good place to work as it definitely shows in all its customer-oriented staff.

The room was spacious and clean incredible. We could see most of the high Himalayas of Nepal from in this place.
Definitely I can Recommend people who want to go either day time or overnight stay.it is near and the best.

Where to begin. Mountain Delights were a delight to deal with. They managed all of our worries and concerns of the expedition and made this experience a trip of a lifetime.

The nature of our trip was to hike to Everest Base Camp in aid of charity - The Bluestack Foundation.

After spending 3 days in Kathmandu, we were eventually able to fly and begin our trek.

We had 3 flights from Kathmandu to Lukla cancelled due to bad weather. After the 3rd flight was cancelled, Kamal and his team went straight to work and got our group replacement helicopter flights.

We began our hike on 9th March 2025 which lasted for 11 days. There wasn't much of a crowd on the way up the trail , however I found on the way back down the crowds had grown in size, I believe the influx was the people whose flights had been delayed had now made their way onto the hike to EBC.

The weather during the daytime was really sunny with temp between 15 & 18ºc. I used factor 50 suncream, some people used factor 70, the sun gets really hot the higher up you go. During the evening time the temperature dropped significantly, it could be anything from -11 to -23ºc. At 3:30am the morning after reaching Base Camp, four of us from our group hiked up Kala Patthar to catch the sunrise around Everest and surrounding mountains (I highly recommend doing this), the temperature was -23ºc, and although the temperature was cold, hiking up Kala Patthar was the highlight of my journey.

Throughout our trek to Everest Base Camp, each and everyone of the Mountain Delight team were on hand to assist us in anyway they could. The porters were very punctual, they had our bags dropped off at each teahouse by the time we got there. Our guides were super friendly, they always chatted and shared laughs with us which I found made the trip much more enjoyable.

The Nepalese scenery is spectacular, words and photos cannot portray how breathtaking this country really is. I have never felt more alive taking in the surroundings, especially during the trek to EBC.

If you are looking for a challenge, to meet people from all over the world and see mountains that reach up past the clouds, then book with Mountain Delights, you will not be disappointed.

I did a trek to EBC this April and the whole arrangement was incredibly good and well thought out. Ram took very good care of us in Kathmandu and our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Mingur, created a fantastic atmosphere in the group.

Did the EBC via Gokyo Lakes in april. I still think about the trip. Our guide, Gelbu sherpa, was amazing and so were our porters, Tenji sherpa and Indra sherpa. We had some problems with the flight to Lukla, but Ram helped us all the way. Definitely recommend both Mountain Delights and the trek!

Went trekking upper mustang with Mountain Delights. It was an incredible trip with our great Guide Baburam! Amazing scenery and landscapes to never forget!

We had a wonderful trek to Annapurna Base Camp with Gelu Sherpa and Karma Sherpa. They provided extensive experience which allowed us to enjoy the trip to its fullest. We can strongly recommend this trek and Mountain Delights Treks & Expedition.

Our group of 7, 5 in our 60s and 2 in their 20s did the Khopra Ridge 8 day Trek that Ram from Mountain Delights organised for us. Wow. Totally exceeded our expectations. Ram organised everything from ground transportation, hotels, flights and the trek. Our 2 guides were extremely experienced and friendly and ensured we all with varying fitnesses achieved each day's hike.
Our porters each also were great. In the afternoons in the lodges our guides and porters loved to learn and join us at cards we built up a great friendship.

What a trip! Now back in Sweden and reflecting on the experience. This trip had a lot of wow-moments. The nature is one thing, it is there to enjoy. And that I did, mountains, jungle, cities, and all wonderful Nepalis people we met. What made my experience top notch was the team at Mountain Delights. Mountain delights made our Trekking to Mardi Himal and the city visits in Pokhara and Kathmandu so enjoyable and they made this into a trip we will never forget. Mountain delights made our trip well planned and with guides and porters that did their utter most to make our trip the best. What also feels great is that Mountain delight gives back to society by sponsoring rural villages and making it possible for children with no means to go to school.
