This is the second time I have used Mountain Delights for trekking in the Himalayas. They never fail to disappoint! Their staff are second to none. An initial issue with internal flights was resolved for us with no difficulty and we were treated to fourteen days of excellent walking in the high Himalayas. Our guides were attentive to our every need and we were assured that we were in safe hands. My next visit to Nepal is already being planned and I will have no hesitation in utilising Mountain Delights for a third time.

I went to Everest Base Camp with Mountain Delights on April 2019 and it was the best choice I could have made!
The trek is definitely a once in a lifetime experience! But doing it with this company made the whole difference.
First, a good company is the one that not only cares for their costumers, but also for their staff. Their guides are paid per day what most companies pay per month (beware of that when you make your choice!!!). I found that to be such a proof of respect and care for the employees that make such hard work!
The guides were nice and fun (always walking with us explaining things about life in their beautiful country, naming every peak we passed, playing cards with us, etc) and cared for every detail to make our trek an awesome experience. But more importantly, they were caring about each and every one of us as altitude started to be apparent. We felt in good hands all the time.
In my case, altitude started to kick in pretty early and right after reaching EBC I had to be evacuated due to acute altitude sickness. I will never be thankful enough for how quickly and smoothly everything was arranged. I didn't have to worry about anything else than myself and the whole experience was... unbelievably easy! Not only the evacuation was super fast but I couldn't believe it when I saw Kamal in the hospital! Also things like getting an excellent accommodation in Kathmandu afterwards without even having to ask. Just priceless...
There is nothing I wish would have been different, I have absolutely nothing negative to say. It was fantastic from A to Z.

We had an amazing Ganesh Himal trek with Mountain Delight Treks & Expedition in April 2019. The company is reliable and communication with owner Ram easy and professional at all times. Our trekking guide was informative and resourceful about the area, people and the country. Fantastic support from porters made us feel safe at all times. The food was tasty and well prepared. A big plus was the stay at Kathmandu Garden Home Hotel before and after the trek. The hotel has great rooms and a beautiful garden with a nice bar. We highly recommend this company to everybody! It would also be an excellent partner for any company in Finland looking for a reliable trekking contact in Nepal. We hope to be back for Mera Peak in 2020!

Thanks for the best trek ever. We did the Mardi Himal trek with great guides. They helped us out and did everything for us. It was so beautyful all the way and especially on the top. I recommend Mardi Himal and Mountaindelight if you want to go to Nepal.

This is a new addition to the offered tours of Mountain Delights Treks & Expedition and we had the chance to be one of the first to experice it. From the main roads we discovered temples, a monastery and much more in backyards, where our guide introduced us to the culture of Nepal through explanations and stories. Additionally the three-hour tour was refined by culinary delicacies. We warmly recommend the city tour, as new, hidden sights can be discovered. This tour is very suitable for those who like to explore a city on foot.

We choose mountain delight for our tour to Chitwan and Pokhara. They help us to make our trip so memorable including all kinds of activities. Sucha a great team with full details and value for money. We will definitely choose again for our next trip.

Kamal's team from Mountain Delights ironed out every logistical challenge we experienced and provided a stellar trekking experience. Was introduced to Mountain Delights through a friend that did the ABC trek with them. Mountain Delights is generally responsive to my request and questions posted
throughout the whole planning. Despite we changed some of our itinerary after we arrived, mountain Delights still managed to accommodate to our demand, at a reasonable price. Overall experience is good and will certainly recommend them.

Already for the first time, we had the chance to make a unique private tour around Nepal. No matter if it was during the tour in the Kathmandu Valley or during the longer trip with a lot of siteseeing through the whole country, the organization was perfect and the guides were very competent, friendly and helpful. They chose suitable accomodation and authentic restaurants. Especially the hotel of the tour agency itself called Green Garden Home was very nice. My husband and I want to thank Ram and his team again for this amazing experience!

I searched online for a good company, and Mountain Delight ticked all my boxes! Mr. Ram was quick and informative with his replies and suggested itineraries. He even allowed me to make some changes in order to lower the cost, which was greatly appreciated. I was picked up from the airport in Kathmandu by my guide, Mr. Gelbu Sherpa (pronounced Ghelly), and from then on he took care of everything the entire trip. Out of the 4 long distance treks I've taken, this was the first time I needed a climbing guide, and because we'd also be camping and summiting Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli), we were accompanied by 2 porters too, Mr. Somdy Sherpa and Mr. Karme Sherpa. I was very delighted with the level of service from these 3 men. While the two porters understood most English they were a bit shy to speak. Gelbu Sherpa on the otherhand, could converse fluently. During the trip, he taught me Nepali words, phrases, and songs, and he expertly gave more insight to traditional Nepalese customs and the landscape we were traversing. He organized all of my meals, snacks, and coffee/tea breaks throughout the day, but what really impressed me was his negotiating a private room for me throughout the 2 week trek/climb! This was outstanding, as it is rather difficult for a solo trekker to find. He also supplied the necessities to withstand the cold and altitude: oxygen and heart rate monitoring daily, down jacket, negative 30 sleeping bag with a fleece liner, and so much more. While he was my guide throughout, we also formed a friendship that I hope to be longlasting, as I will definitely book with Mr. Gelbu Sherpa again through Mountain Delights. I had an amazing time, but will hopefully be trekking for closer to 25 days next year with the EBC trek, 3 pass, and Island Peak summit. I'd definitely recommend a trek with Mr. Gelbu Sherpa!

Had a wonderful time mounting the Tsergo Ri (4,985 metres).
Got the best hotels and were precisely on time to each destination as per the itenary provided to us. Must thank to our absolute wonder-guide Mr. Dawa Lama who had everything managed for us and all we had to do was click photographs and walk.

8 years ago my trekking buddy found Mountain Delights on internet. Luckily she made the good choice. Mountain Delights arrange our trekking and cultural trip very well, as we requested. Especially Ram Sapkota, the owner, is very kind to us. He always take care of his guests nicely. 8-16 Nov 2019 I came back to Nepal with my groups, still with Mountain Delights ofcourse. The service is very good. All is running well. Ram is always very nice to us. He tries his best to please us. Badri the guide is nice also. I really really recommend Mountain Delighs as a travel partner every time you go to Nepal for trekking, cultural trip or whatever.

Ram and all the crews including local guide Mr. Badri Nepal and Paragliding Pilots are so good.
I will choose again and recommand Mountain Delights Ram and his team to have wonderful time in Nepal.

Second time I visited fantastic Nepal and both times the trekks where handled by Mountain Delight. Everything where handled perfect and I can highly recommend this company if you plan to go hiking in Nepal. Both the staff in the office and the guides are so friendly!

I enjoyed my first time visit in Nepal. I took katmandu city tour, trekking to australian camp, paragliding at Sarangkot hill, visit Phewa Lake, Mountain flight, visit Mountain Museum, visit Temples in Katmandu & Pokhara, stayed a night at The Fort Resort, Nagarkot, visit Bhaktapur, etc.. Many thanks to Mountain delights, Mr.Ram & team, also Mr.Badri Nepal, our local guide, they were so thoughtful, kind, and accomodating as well as knowledgeable.

In october I've been to Nepal to do a physical therapy trek with my organisation. Mountain delights is a cooperation partner who helps us with the guides and sherpas which take care of us.

Mountain delights is a fantastic organisation. A nice pick up at the airport and a welcome Hi at the hotel. They've helped us with everything and if there was something wrong or if you have questions you can always ask. Ram, the owner, was very helpful, we wanted to change something in the trek and everything was possible.

During the trek we had an amazing guide, Raj, and very kind sherpas. They took very good care of us with everything. The food was amazing and the views and sleeping places were beautiful.
The trek was one of my best experiences of my life and I would recommend everybody this organisation to do a trek with when you are in Nepal! 😊

I have been together with my son for the first time in Nepal. Our plan was to see as much is possible from the Everest region and and climb Island Peak. I choose Mountain Delights as our tripp organiser becasue the owner Mr Ram allways answered me willingly to find the best variants to fit my expectations. It never took more than 2-3 days to reply to an email. Everything has been set in great detail like route, gears, contingency days,etc. After month of waiting the day came and the adventure begun: Geli sherpa (who was our guide for the next 3weeks) was waiting for us at the airport and drive us to the hotel. This was a very nice, cozy hotel in a great place in Thamel district. After 2 days we were on the way to the mountains. Tea houses that have been choosen through the tripp were ok, the food was ok as well. I would like to highlight that after each dinner we received a plate with fresh fruits (apple, bananas, orange). I havn't seen this from other trek organisers and every time Geli brought this plate had a wow effect. The daily routes were not exhaustive,the peace was very confortable for us, the overnight points were chosen excellent. I appreciate a lot the willing of our guide to deviate a little from the original schedule but just for have a greater chance to do the summit of Island Peak. We skipp one overnigth point to add an extra rest day before the summit day. We reached the summit of Island Peak and for this a big thank you again for Geli sherpa!
All in all was a great time and definitely I will come back in Nepal for other adventures hoping that Mountain Delights will be a partner in this, because they will be my first option.

A great walking tour through the historical part of the city. We were taken to cultural sites and markets plus a few hidden places you could easily miss. Information and insight from a knowledgeable local guide.Glad I took the tour even though I had walked through the area for a few days. Highly recommended!

I had been on a trekking tour started in Kathmandu with guided tour and continued to Lukla and Mt Everest Base Camp. During our trekking the group faced some minor problems. M.D.T.E arranged everything very good and also find good solutions on all problems. I recommend this company.

Starting on th 23th November to Langtang with aiming Ganja La pass (5130m) by trekking. Ten days from Ktm to Sermathang, Easy walk to Kianjin Gompa, Tsergo Ri(4984m) for acclimatization, Langshisa kharka for landscapes and relax , then Ganja La under little snow. After that, lot of ups and downs to reach Tarke giang with a very nice hotel, clean, hot water and good dal baht...The guide Gueli and the porter Ningma were at the top for this short but engaged trek. Thanks to Mr Ram and his team for the organisation and for the success of this trek not so easy. Thanks also for free borrowing some gear. Probably I'll contact you for a next trek.

Fantastic experience with very professional guides. Babu did a great job controlling the pace, organising the accommodation and orientating us in the mountains - as well as becoming a friend!

We did a 5 day trekking circuit from Birethani to Poon Hill and back again. At first we were picked up at the airport by our driver and were welcomed with traditional marigold flower wreath, which was really nice. We went straight to Ram´s office (the boss and our contact person) to talk through the trekking route and borrow duffel bags, down jackets and sleeping bags for the trekking the next day. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. We also got to pay for the trekking by credit card, and he helped us to book a paragliding including insurance in Pokhara after the 5-day trekking. Then we were dropped off at the place we were sleeping and agreed to be picked up at 06.00 the next day to get to Birethani in time to do the first part of our trekking before it got dark.

We were three girls trekking and had two porters carrying duffel bags with all of our things, and one English-speaking guide. Our trekking included food and accommodation at tea houses. The tea houses mainly have the same menu, including both international dishes and traditional Nepalese food. We met several people trekking without a guide and pre-ordered food and accommodation, but we decided to include all of this because it was our first time trekking in Nepal. Both our guide and the porters were really helpful and made sure we got to see Poon Hill in its nicest view, and planned our accommodations to beautiful, not too crowded teahouses (we got to avoid a large group of loud chinese people, for example). They also recommended some of the dishes in the menu.

The first day was 2,5 hour trekking, and the remaining 4 days we were trekking for 5-6 hours. After breakfast we did 2-3 hours of trekking before we had lunch, and then we did 2-3 hours of trekking and reached our tea house for the night. After taking a shower and relaxing for a bit, we had dinner and often sat by the fireplace with a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Before we went to bed we discussed the next trekking day with our guide and ordered breakfast for the next morning. Our guide also provided local fruits for us every day, because we had mentioned we love fruits when we ordered the trekking. That was truly an extra highlight every day!

The landscape was so stunning and we were so lucky with the weather - sun every day and a clear sky when we went to Poon Hill to see the sunrise at 06.30. We walked on Nepalese stone stairs and through paths in the woods while enjoying the Annapurna mountains from different points of view. It was amazing. We truly recommend it to everyone, and we have already decided to go back some day to do a longer trekking.
